1. Who we are

FAYTRONIX Image Tools ("we", "us") operates the website at image.faytronix.com. This policy explains what information we do and do not collect when you use it.

2. Your images and files

This is the most important section, so it comes first.

Every editing operation on this site — compression, resizing, cropping, conversion, colour adjustment, retouching and text — is performed locally in your web browser using the HTML Canvas API. When you open a file, it is read from your device into your browser's temporary memory. It is never transmitted to our servers or to any third party.

• We do not receive, see, store, copy or process your images.
• We do not keep any record of which files you opened or what you did to them.
• Nothing is retained after you close the tab. Your work is discarded from memory.
• The site continues to function without an internet connection once the page has loaded, which is only possible because no server is involved in the editing.

You can verify this independently. Open your browser's developer tools, select the Network tab, then edit and export an image. You will observe that no image data leaves the page.

Exported files are re-encoded from scratch, which means EXIF metadata, GPS coordinates, camera information and embedded colour profiles present in your original file are not carried into the output.

3. Information we do collect

Server logs

Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is requested: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, and the date and time of the request. This is used for security, diagnosing faults and understanding aggregate traffic levels. It is not used to identify you personally.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate — which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located by country, and which devices are common. Google Analytics sets cookies and may process a truncated form of your IP address. It does not have access to your images, because your images never leave your browser.

You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising

This site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense in order to remain free to use.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices.

Advertising slots on this site are placed outside the editing workspace so they cannot interfere with your work.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We use them for the purposes below and no others.

We do not set cookies to store your images, your editing settings or any personal profile. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the editor will continue to work normally if you do.

5. Legal basis and your rights

If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or another region with comparable data protection law, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, request its correction or deletion, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

Because we do not operate user accounts and do not receive your images, the personal data we hold is generally limited to server logs and the analytics and advertising data described above. Requests relating to advertising cookies are usually best directed to Google, as the controller of that data.

6. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

7. Third-party links

Where we link to external websites, we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any site you visit.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site develops or as legal requirements change. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
